One transaction with a little ETH. 80% goes into the pond, 20% buys $POND and burns it. No token needed to play.

Land it

Any fish still swimming is equally likely to bite. It pays out in ETH: the pot × its weight ÷ the weight of every fish left.

They grow

Every uncaught fish gets heavier every hour, the legend fastest. A quiet day makes the pond worth more.

Day 3, day 7

Day 3 restocks the pond. Day 7 is the weigh-in: casting closes and the heaviest catch of the week takes everything left.

The stock.300 fish at launch: 180 minnows (0.2 lb), 80 perch (1 lb), 30 bass (4 lb), 9 pike (15 lb) and one legend (60 lb). Day 3 adds 60 minnows, 30 perch, 10 bass and 3 pike.
Growth.Per hour, as a share of the starting weight: minnows 0%, perch 1%, bass 1.5%, pike 2%, the legend 4%.
Every catch pays.You always land something. It pays pot × its weight ÷ the total weight of the fish still in the pond, in ETH, straight to your wallet.
Odds.Every fish still swimming is equally likely to bite, so the legend is one in however many fish are left. Holding the lure amount of $POND gives you two bites; you keep the heavier fish.
Why a block later.If the fish were decided in the same transaction, a bot could see the result first and only cast for the legend. So your cast picks its fish from the next block's hash, and it's reeled in by the keeper, by the next caster, or by you with the Reel button.
Fishing party.Open a friend's link (it carries their address) and cast. If either of you lands a pike or the legend within an hour of the other's cast, the other gets 10% of that catch on top, from the pot.
The legend's bounty.10,000 $POND sits in the pond from the start. Whoever lands the legend takes it on top of the ETH. If nobody does, it goes to the weigh-in winner.
The weigh-in.Day 7 at the same time the pond opened. Casting closes, every open line is reeled in, and the heaviest single catch of the week takes the whole pot.
No owner. No switches.No admin, no pause, no upgrade. The stock, the growth and the price were fixed at deploy. Block hashes come from the chain's sequencer. Unaudited.
